Congratulations to spoken word poet Jefferson Bethke who finally married his fiancee Alyssa Joy Fenton today, Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012. The young couple from Washington state have yet to share any photos or new messages with their fans, but Bethke let his Facebook fans know this morning that he would be tying the knot.

He wrote Sunday afternoon to more than 151,000 fans: “I’m getting married today to the most amazing woman in the world!!!! Yahooo!!” Bethke’s joyous message received more than 18,000 “likes” and so many well wishes. Read what a couple of Bethke’s fans and supporters had to say. The newlyweds spoke with The Christian Post in May about their relationship after just getting engaged. Here’s what was said at the time about the bride:

Bethke says the minute he spoke to Fenton, he knew she was a keeper. “In fact the first date we ever went on, I came home, and my mom asked me why I was glowing, and I said, ‘I just met my future wife,'” he told CP.

Congratulations to the young couple, both in their 20s. May GOD bless their union and continue to make them a blessing to others.

Monday morning update: Bethke reached out to his online supporters late last night, letting them know he would be offline for a while: “I’ll be completely offline the next few weeks to just unplug and enjoy time with my new wife Alyssa. There will be a few posts during that time with new videos, content, etc that I scheduled ahead of time before I left. Just FYI. Grace & Peace y’all!”
